My Experience With
Insurance Company's
The insurance company's i believe should be right at the top of the list when it comes to health
care and reform, just look at what these company's did when it comes to New Orleans, you
imagine the everyday person like you and I can be put through.
The Hotel and the Hospitality company i worked for when i was diagnosed with this liver disease
at one time had some good insurance and we paid a certain amount with the company paying
the most, this was cut out because they said it had become to expensive which i agree has
went way up over the last 20 years, but they did not bother to see if the employees would pay
more to keep it, we was also told that the other Hotels that this company owns was cut out to.
This insurance was replaced by a some insurance that was mostly free to the company that
was a joke.
Out of the $40,000.00 that i have run up to date, they have paid about $800.00 and i had to argue
with them to get half of that.

Oklahoma has a High Risk Pool that was started by the legislators in 1996 and this is supposed
to be available to those that can,t get insurance anywhere else, this policy is underwritten by a
insurance company out of Kansas and i did not know about until late October 2006 and it seems
the Governor or his people did not know about either, they recommended that i go to the Mayo
Clinic in Arizona to seek help for my disease I have been mad very few times during this whole
ordeal but here we have the Governor of our state wanting to send me to another state for help
when the Governors in most other states where coming up with ways to insure there people in
there state. Copy Of Letter Below.   The web site for Oklahoma High Risk Pool is
This is very expensive but i had the money to pay it for one year because of the fund-raisers we
have had and the good people in southern Oklahoma and a few out of states.  But you have to
here the "Rest Of The Story" as Mr. Paul Harvey says.
My first thought was happy days are here again.  BUZZ..WRONG Answer!
I did get on this insurance but i have a waiting period until Dec !st of this year if i make it that
long, and i am paying almost $600.00 a month and i had to battle to get that. I filed for this in Nov
of 2006, was declined in Dec, appealed and was excepted in Feb but was told that my start date
would be May 1st which would mean that it would it be May 2008 before i qualified for
pre-existing condition so we argued about the start date since it was Nov when i filed and i won
the appeal, well they had me over a barrel and they knew it because Medicare would not kick in
until June 2008 and if it stayed with my May 1st 2008 start date i would only be covered by them
for one month so i agreed to a Dec 1st 2007 start date but and this is a big
but i had to pay for 6
months back. I knew that if got a lawyer it would have to be in Oklahoma City and this is capitol
of this state and even if i got one it would have to be someone young who wanted to make a
name for themselves and we both would go down in flames and i knew that i could not get any
assistance because they was the ones that signed off on this deal back in 1996.
I am not trying to cry on any ones shoulders but i am the sick person, which i can only work on
something for i get tired after a couple of hours, i get real air headed, i live in Wilson Oklahoma
which is 30 miles from the nearest Wal Mart so i have to spend my two hours wisely and the
only person i know that is not a lawyer is sick herself and not to mention a full time job and then
some so i have 14 hours a week to worry about this and fund-raising also. I wish i could but i
can't put up here any of the letters from the insurance company that underwrite this OHRP but if
i live through this which the odds are against me , there will be a book on this entire story, this i
promise.
The Governor is a public servant in this state and he has to answer for what his people do or he
does himself so this letter is below and remember this guy is setting his sights on the office of
the United States Senate probably the seat now held by Senator Jim Inhofe who has come out
on record that humans have no influence on global warming. Now you don't really believe that
the good Senator and the Governor of this state is going to say anything negative about big oil.
The Governor knows that the big tax surplus that we had came from the pockets of people who
drive in this state and the surplus went to the people who has not been in a grocery store since
they were kids. The Governor won his 2nd term and got 67% of the vote and even a good friend
of mine who has been a Republican all the 17 years i have known him since i have lived here
and he voted for him, he and his wife have to go to Oklahoma City for there health care and i still
cannot get it through his head that the sucking sound that he heres is the money flying out of his
pocket when he fuels up.

I may not make it to the chance to get a transplant, i live in the biggest oil producing county in
this state, Carter County!

There will be more on insurance and health care later, i have reached my two hours for today.
Check out the title of this guy!

I think i will give my 13 year old
boy the title of
Director Of The
Refrigerator
since this is what he
is a
Specialist at.
This is my personal experience's and all is the truth but some is my personal opinion's and no
ones else.  As i have said before, if this gives someone a better start than i had, then it is
worth it to me . Many of people have told me that i should not make waves, don't rock the boat
but if you know me this is not the way that i am, this system has to be changed!
You may not believe this
so rich and powerful that
you can die if you don't
have money, insurance or
when it comes to
transplant it does not hurt
to have a big name.

When you are in the
market for insurance,
make sure you have all
your questions answered
before you sign up. Do not
leave or sign until know
exactly what you are
getting!

When changing
employment you need to
know if you can take it
with you..

Sometimes it is better to
make less in salary and
have insurance than the
other way around..

If at all possible go to
work where there is good
insurance, this also
reflects on the company if
they care about there
employees.

Some states have made
Wal Mart supply there
employees insurance and
Wal Mart has has
threatened to move there
business out of these
states, i have not heard or
read where this has
happened yet!
The Doctor below and some others  treat the Legislators at there office.
I really would like to know what kind of insurance package these folks
have.
I don,t blame this Doctor one bit, but i don't believe they stand a chance
against the lobby'sfor the insurance and lawyers.
There is one thing i'm quite sure of Texas would throw them back!
Everyday i kick
checking to
make sure i was
getting what i
thought i had
when it comes
to insurance at
my last
employer, the
company that
was selling this
insurance, they
where selling
and i bought it
so i have no one
to blame but
myself!
One way or
another i won't
make this
mistake again.
Law Suite Reform

Nothing is going  stop  the
rising cost unless there is
something done about
this area, we have
become a society where
everyone suing everyone
for bull____.
Who can blame the
Doctors for ordering
every little test they can
think of, if you look at
what they are paying for
there insurance.
There is going to be
mistakes, nobody is
perfect.
Put a mandatory
maximum on the amount
that can  be awarded, the
one that looses should
have to pay for the total
cost for everything.
The only thing that these
rules should not apply is
if it is proved that there
was gross neglect on the
Doctors part..
It should also be
mandatory that before it
goes to a court, that both
parties meet without
Lawyers but a mediator
and this mediator should
be someone who is
elected not appointed.
I bet you that if this would
come to pass, that alot of
this would not even go to
court!
5/06/07
The good Governor signed a bill
yesterday that insures more Children
with Sooner Care.
Also the state will pay 60%, employer
25%and employee 15% for health
insurance, This will go to company's
with 250 or more employee's/
Two thumbs up for Governor!!!
